For our virtual symposium this year, we will be hosting the poster session during the lunch break.
Our online format will allow you to present your screen (poster) just as you would in person.
We will be holding smaller Breakout Groups to allow for further questions and discussions – similar to how a poster session would function on campus.
Thank you for your interest in submitting a poster to this year’s Annual Symposium. Please read the following information carefully.
The poster session is open to the greater Johns Hopkins community, including the University, Hospital, Healthcare, Space Telescope, APL, and Peabody student community.
5pm, Tuesday, October 20, 2020.
We recommend registering your poster as soon as possible, so that we can promote it on our website.
After we check your abstract and registration, we’ll add your poster abstract to the Symposium section of website.
We plan to accommodate as many relevant poster presentations as possible.
Please make sure you register for the Symposium as well as a poster session. These are two different registrations.
Printing is NOT necessary – just a digital file submitted by
5pm, Tuesday, October 20, 2020.
We will have a “Poster Madness” during which poster presenters are asked to show one (and only one) slide and spend one (and only one) minute talking about their poster. This is a great opportunity to generate interest in your poster.
All poster presenters are expected to participate in Poster Madness.
Poster Madness is scheduled during the lunch break of this year’s Symposium.
Posters will be available to view and comment
on the IDIES website starting
Thursday October 22, 2020.
In order for a participant to be eligible for awards associated with the Poster Madness competition they MUST:
Please send or upload a single slide for Poster Madness to
5pm, Tuesday, October 20, 2020.
You may submit a PDF, JPG, PNG, or a URL.
We’ll add your slide to a Poster Madness presentation which will be ready when it is your turn to present.
