IDIES Director and Professor of Cosmology and Computer Science Alex Szalay has been selected to receive the 2015 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Computer Society Sidney Fernbach Award.
The award recognizes Professor Szalay:
“For his outstanding contributions to the development of data-intensive computing systems and on the application of such systems in many scientific areas including astrophysics, turbulence, and genomics.”
